AUGUST 2010:

Linda finished the Eurobasket Tournament as the leading rebounder with a 9.8 average and she also finished 6th in scoring with an 18 point average for her home country of Germany.  Next up she will report to her new club team, Spanish Giants Ros Casares and look to capture a Euro league Championship.

Linda scores 27 points and grabs 8 rebounds in the final game of the Euro basket, however Germany lost to Slovakia 73 to 67.

JULY 2010:
Linda scores 21 points and grabs 10 rebounds in Germany's loss against Belgium

Linda and the German National Team Fall to the Netherlands 57-64 in their preseason game.  Linda leads all scorers with 15 points.

Linda returns home to California.


JUNE 2010:
Linda has signed with Ros Casares and is looking forward to playing in the Euroleague for the 2010-2011 campaign.

Linda rejoins the German National Team. 

MAY 2010:
Linda and Târgoviste win the Romanian Championship.

APRIL 2010:
Linda is named to the Romanian All-Star team.

MARCH 2010:

Municipal Târgoviste's last game resulted in a 66-48 win against CST Alexandria.  Târgoviste had no trouble winning against last one of last season's semi finalists.  Linda Fröhlich was one of the team's top scorers with 10 points.  She made just under 50% of her shots, and finished the game with 8 rebounds.  Their next game will be against CSM Oradea on March 23rd.

Târgoviste starred the Romanian Cup strong on March 6th with a huge win over Craiova.  The final score was 88-58.  Their next game in the championship resulted in an 86-55 win over Arad Goldis on March 10th. 


FEBRUARY 2010
:
Municipal Târgoviste was knocked out of the Euro Cup Women on Wednesday as a result of a 76-55 loss to Dynamo Kursk.  Târgoviste came into the game with an 18-point advantage and kept the game close throughout the first three quarters, seemingly securing a victory in the series.  However, Dynamo went on to outscore Târgoviste 23-6 in the final quarter.  Dynamo’s 21-point win was enough to put them ahead by three points in the series.

 

Linda finished the game with 10 points, shooting 5 for 7 from the field.  Linda saw 20 minutes of action. 

After scoring 30 points Linda was named Euro Cup Player of the week!

Linda and helped Municipal Târgoviste crush CSM Satu Mare in their first game of 2010 in the Romanian League.  The final score was 74-43, and Municipal Târgoviste outscored their opponent in each of the four quarters.  Their next game is against CSM Oradea on Feb. 13th.


JANUARY 2010
:
Municipal Târgoviste played Gran Canarias on January 28th.  The 1st quarter was close between the two teams but Târgoviste gained a strong lead in the 2nd and held on to it for the rest of the game. The final score was 80-55. Linda was the day’s leading scorer with 30 points and 7 rebounds. She was 100% from behind the 3-point line making 7/7 shots.

Municipal Târgoviste had their second game in a row against Ruzomberok on January 14th. Târgoviste had a steady lead throughout and then finished off Ruzomberok with an 84-51 win in Romania. Linda played 27 minutes. She scored 8 points and had 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Târgoviste's next game will be against Gran Canarias on January 28th.


Linda played her first game with Municipal MCM Târgoviste on January 7th. Târgoviste went against Slovakian team Ruzomberok. Târgoviste kept a strong lead throughout the game against their opponent. They ended up winning 90-68. Linda played 26 minutes and had 15 points 2 assists, and 5 rebounds. Târgoviste will be playing Ruzomberok again on January 14th.


DECEMBER 2009
:
Good Angels Kosice won for the third straight time in the EuroLeague Women on December 2nd. The final score against MKB Euroleasing was 75-58. Linda shot a crucial 3 pointer in the 3rd quarter. The opponents from Hungary managed to pull to within seven in the fourth quarter but Kosice won comfortably in the end. Linda played another great game with 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Good Angels Kosice will be facing Bourges Basket on December 9th.

Good Angels Kosice pulled clear in the final seven minutes to top KSSSE AZS-PWSZ Gorzow 70-65 in EuroLeague Women Group C. The game was close but, a pair of free throws and a three pointer in the last minutes by Kosice’s team members solidified their win. Linda played a great game and got a double-double in her 37 minutes of playing time. She collected 11 points and 11 rebounds. Kosice’s next game will be against MKB Euroleasing on December 2nd.


NOVEMBER 2009
:
Kosice had their first win in the EuroLeague this season on November 18 against USK Prague. The score was 73-70.  Linda played a great game and scored six points in a row early in 3rd quarter. This secured Kosice’s lead for the remainder of the game. Linda achieved a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds within her 37 minute playing time. Kosice will next face Gorzow on November 25.

In Linda's first game back with Kosice she played 29 minutes scoring 12 points with 4 rebounds.  Although Kosice fought gallantly Rivas came out of the game 3-0. Kosice's next game is against USK Prague on November 18th.

Linda goes off in her first EuroLeague game against Spartak Moscow.  In just 25 minutes of play Linda dropped 20 points going (6/12) from the field, (8/8) from the line, and Linda grabbed 6 rebounds. Unfortunately Linda's performance wasn't enough to beat Spartak as they won 95-71.Brno continues EuroLeague play against Fenerbahce Tuesday, November 3rd.


APRIL 5, 2009
:
Gambrinus is currently in the Czech championship (2-2)!!  Gambrinus drops second straight game to USK Praha in final seconds... USK Praha threw up a halfcourt desperation shot in the last seconds to edge Gambrinus... Game 5 against USK Praha is Saturday April 4th!


MARCH 7, 2009
:

Gambrinus Brno just finished a three game series against Sparta Praha where Brno dominated all three games.   Linda had 3 impressive performances in the series and in Game 1 she was named the MVP scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds in less than 20 minutes.   The series final scores are as follows: Game 1 Brno won 107-55, Game 2 Brno won 96-35, and Game 3 Brno won 88-48.  Brno will advance to the next three game series to play Valosun Brno March 14, 18, & 21.  Stay tuned Frohlaholics!!! 

 

JANUARY 15, 2009:

Germany international Linda Fröhlich has signed for Gambrinus Sika Brno for the remainder of the campaign. Fröhlich, 29, spent the first part of the EuroLeague Women season with Broker Kosice and averaged 13 points and nine rebounds in six games. The veteran power forward's move strengthens the Gambrinus line-up ahead of their forthcoming play-off showdown with Bourges Basket. "The offer from the club, one of the best teams in the last 10 years, was appealing," Fröhlich said. "It is a new motivation for me and I would like to help them reach the EuroLeague Women quarter-finals." Fröhlich returned a positive test for the banned substance Hydrochlorothiazide in late 2008 but was recently cleared to play basketball again by the FIBA Disciplinary Panel. Gambrinus hosted last year's EuroLeague Women Final Four and finished runners-up to Spartak Moscow Region. The Slovakian press had reported last week that Kosice had wanted to keep Fröhlich but were unable to match the offer Gambrinus were making to the player. Kosice, meanwhile, have bolstered their line-up with the addition of Lithuanian center Iveta Salkauskeovis.

 

DECEMBER 18, 2008:
Kosice qualified for the EuroLeague playoffs!! The best of three tournament will be held January 27th, 30th, and February 4th. Kosice ended up with a 6-4 record and drew Ros Casares Valencia (8-2) as their first round opponent.

 

Unfortunately Linda’s current contract with Kosice has ended.  Linda is currently waiting to hear about the restructuring of her contract so she can rejoin her team in the next round of the playoffs.  We will keep you posted on Linda’s status.

NOVEMBER 20, 2008:

Last night against Lattes Montepellier Linda's team, Kosice won for their 4th time out of 6 games!  Linda had her best game yet this season posting a double-double!!!  Linda erupted in the 3rd quarter where she scored 19 of her 28 points! Linda also continued her dominant play in side the paint hauling in 14 rebounds. That’s the Linda we know and have grown to love this season! So all you Froh-a-holics, stay tuned for her next game on the 26th of November against Fenerbahce.   


NOVEMBER 13, 2008:

Linda has another impressive performance posting 11 points and 9 rebounds against TEO Vilnius.  Although Linda had a great game against TEO Vilnius, Kosice fell short 72-49.  Kosice's next game is against Lattes Montpellier on the 19th of November. Good luck Kosice


November 5, 2008:

Team Kosice suffers a heartbreaking loss to Spartak. Although Kosice leads the entire game Spartak found a way to pull off a victory 64-61.  Linda had a good game, but got into foul trouble early which limited her play and stats.  Linda ended up with 6 points and 6 rebounds.


NOVEMBER 3, 2008:

Linda is the leading factor to Kosice success. Her dominance in the paint and scoring contributions are proving to be an enormous boost to the team's dominant play.  Click here to read more.

Cras Basket Taranto wins against Schio in the Semifinal: 73-67
In 25 minutes, Linda added 13 points and 6 rebounds

MARCH 16, 2008:
Cras Basket loses in the finals against Reyer Venezia: 59-61
In 26 minutes, Linda scored all of her 19 points (3-6 from 2-points, 4-7 from 3-points) in the second half.

MARCH 3, 2005:
Linda has signed a contract to play for the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting for the upcoming 2005 season.  “I am excited to have an opportunity to play for the Sting.  They are a classy organization led by their G.M. and coach Trudi Lacey.  This is a fresh start for me I am looking forward to get to training and competing everyday”.


FEBRUARY 22, 2005:

In the last three games Linda has meet the challenge of leading her team.  During these outings she has scored 19, 21, 23 points respectively, giving her an average of 21 points during these games.  Rovereto went 2 and 1 over this stretch.   Linda is currently averaging 18 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest, which ranks 5th in scoring and 7th in rebounding in the Italian league.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2004:
Linda leads Germany to the European Championship.  Germany finished the Qualifying round on top of Group C with a 5 and 1 record.  Linda play was outstanding.  She led the European Championship Qualifier in scoring with 23.3 points per game and in rebounding with 11.2 per contest.  Linda was the only player in the competition to average a double-double.  As a result of her great play FIBA did an article of her, which you can find on FIBA.com.   Next stop for Linda is her Italian season with team Rovereto that start in October.

SEPTEMBER 12, 2004:
On Sunday night in a sell-out gym in Dorsten, Germany Linda had on of the best games ever in German National Team history.  Linda was able to connect on a variety of shots from all over the floor.  Linda connected on 50% of her 3 points shots and an amazing 67% inside the three-point line.  Linda finished the game with 32 points and 12 rebounds in the 95-50 win over Israel.  As a result of her strong play Linda is currently second in points per game with an average of 28 points per contest in the European Qualifier Championship, which feature many current WNBA players.  She is also leading the way in many other categories as well such as rebounding with 12.5 per contest, free-throw percentage and field goals made.  Germany will now take on Belgium on the 15th of September in their quest to play in the European Championship.

APRIL 7, 2004:
In the last couple of weeks Linda has taken her game up a notch.  In the last six games Linda has averaged 19 points and 7.8 rebounds.  This is four more points than her season average of 15.   In these last six games, Rovereto has accumulated a 4 and 2 record.  In four of these contest Linda has led her team in scoring and every outing she has lead the team in rebounding.  In her last outing Linda continued to lead her team in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and 6 rebounds in the 62 to 58 point victory over Spezia on Wednesday night.


FEBRUARY 1, 2004
:
With Rovereto coming off its first two-game losing streak Rovereto was able to win its biggest games of the year. On Sunday night Rovereto faced Parma, the first placed team in-group A division.  Rovereto was able to shoot the ball very well in the game.  They connected on 52% of their shots; they also connected on 7 out 16 three-point attempts for the game.  Linda had a strong outing, scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds and she had 5 steals in the 77 to 67 point victory.  Rovereto will next play on Wednesday in FIBA Cup competition.  If Rovereto wins they will move into the play-off round. 


JANUARY 21, 2004:
On Wednesday night Linda catapulted Rovereto to a 78 to 76 victory over Szeviep.   With less than three seconds in the game Linda received a pass from teammate Vickie Johnson and then proceeded to hit the game winning shot that gave Rovereto a 78 to 76 lead.  Linda had a strong outing she scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds she also had a team high 5 steals.  Linda is currently leading her team in scoring in FIBA Cup competition at 15.5 points a game; she is also averaging 8 rebounds a game.  Rovereto will next take on Como in the Italian league on Sunday night.

NOVEMBER 26, 2003:
Linda put on a phenomenal performance.  In a hard fought game Linda was able to lead Rovereto to an 87 to 86 victory over Bigorre of France on Wednesday night.  With this victory Rovereto is guaranteed to move into the next round in the FIBA Cup competition.  Linda led all scores with 32 and had a game-high 8 rebounds.  Linda shot the ball very well as she connected on 15 of her 20 shots.  Linda also contributed with 4 assists and 2 steals.  In FIBA Cup competition Linda is currently averaging 18.2 points a game and 5.6 rebounds.  All of this while shooting an amazing 53% from the field.  She is also connecting on 55% from the three-point line and 94% from the free-throw line.


OCTOBER 31, 2003:
After getting out to a rough start Linda has picked up her game. Linda started off her Italian season by scoring eight points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Since that point Linda has been on a terror. Linda has had games of 24, 19, 13, and 17 points. She has led her team in scoring 3 out of the 5 games and she is currently ranked third in FIBA competition in scoring with an average of 21 points. Linda and her Rovereto team are currently 4 and 1 this early season and undefeated in the Italian league posting a perfect 3 and 0 record. Linda and Rovereto will play again on Saturday night.


AUGUST 5, 2003:
Linda takes her game up to the next level.  In a crucial game for the New York Liberty to stay alive in the WNBA playoff race, Linda scores a career high.  In only 15 minutes Linda scores 12 points on 5 for 10 shooting.   Linda gave the Liberty a 6-point lead with 11 minutes left to go in the game with back-to-back 3 pointers.  Linda single-handedly kept the Liberty in the game at this juncture by scoring a quick 8 points.  Linda is shooting a team best 49% percent from the field and she is also leading the team in 3-point percentage at 70%. 


JULY 25, 2003:
Linda has taken her game up a notch during her last five outings.   It all started when Linda got a chance to play against the Connecticut Sun.  Linda played six minutes but had 8 points and 4 rebounds.  A couple of nights later, in the game against the Fever Linda scored 5 points and grab 4 rebounds in only seven minutes.  In another outing against the Fever Linda score 2 rebounds and grabs 1 rebound in four minutes.  During their current west coast swing the Liberty faced the Seattle Storm.  Linda only played two minutes but had five points and one rebound and in the Libertyďż˝s last game Linda played twelve minutes and scored 9 points and grabbed 2 rebounds.  In her last 5 games Linda while only averaging 6 minutes per contest Linda has averaged 5.8 points and 2.4 rebounds.  Also what makes this run so amazing is that she is shooting 63% from the field and has been a perfect 4 for 4 from the three point line.  Linda is still shooting 100% from the three this season.  


JULY 11, 2003:
Even though the Liberty came up short on Thursday night 69-76 Linda continued her stellar play in limited minutes.  Linda continued to improve in the young season.  In Thursday game against the Fever Linda scored 5 point on 2 out 3 shooting and grabs 4 rebounds and stole the ball once in only seven minutes of action.  Producing in limited time is nothing new for Linda.  In her last court appearance Linda scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds and had one steal and assists in only 6 minutes.  Linda now will take a break and enjoy this weekend’s All-Star game with her brother and sisters.
